Why embedded systems businesses use proposal software instead of Microsoft Word

Many embedded systems still use Microsoft Word or some other word processor to create their proposals. A previously created template is modified manually and then sent as a PDF. Sounds easy, but in practice this takes a lot of time, the chance of errors is high and you no longer have insight into your business proposal after sending.

With the use of proposal software it has become a lot easier and better for entrepreneurs. You still use templates as a basis, but now you have a full content library in which you can search and reuse texts. The chance of errors is minimal due to smart automation. And after sending you can still adjust your business proposal and you will get insight when your customer views the proposal. The modern interactive presentation options make an impression and the option to digitally sign makes it very easy for a customer to agree.

Why smart software is important for businesses in the embedded systems sector

Proposal software offers many benefits to the Embedded Systems industry. It allows you to create quotes and proposals in record time. This is essential when you’re on a tight deadline and need to impress your client. The format of the documents can be customized in different ways, so you can create something that will resonate with your audience.

An embedded system is a computer system with a dedicated function within a larger mechanical or electrical system, often with real-time computing constraints. It is embedded as part of a complete device often including hardware and mechanical parts. Embedded systems control many devices in common use today. Ninety-eight percent of all microprocessors are manufactured for embedded systems. What makes an embedded system different from normal computers is that it has some specific functions and purposes. This implies that the hardware used in embedded systems is very specific and generally not expandable. It also means that the operating systems are special versions of regular operating systems, modified to fit the embedded environment. Intelligence can be distributed throughout the system around its periphery, rather than in the central processing unit (CPU). The embedded system contains sensors and actuators and sometimes even user interfaces, while the central processor contains only basic logic. In addition, with smart devices getting smaller and more prevalent, an embedded system's ability to respond to events is vital. An embedded system is a computer that is designed for a specific purpose. In other words, embedded systems are computers that do one thing and do it well; they are not general-purpose machines. A typical example of an embedded system is a VCR (video cassette recorder). Here the computer is built into the VCR, with a user interface on the front panel. This means that the VCR will operate properly only if the tape inserted into it has been formatted properly. Because of their special purpose, most embedded systems don't have user interfaces at all; they do everything in memory without the need for input from a keyboard or screen. A microcontroller is a small computer on a single integrated circuit containing a processor core, memory, and programmable input/output peripherals. Program memory in the form of NOR flash or OTP ROM is also often included on chip, as well as a typically small amount of RAM. Microcontrollers are designed for simple tasks, with peripherals used to assist in timing-critical applications. A microcontroller contains one or more processors (called microprocessors) like those found in personal computers; however, in contrast to typical personal computers they are designed to operate at low power levels and in real-time environments (for example those controlled by another microprocessor). This makes them well suited for controlling devices like household appliances and other small, battery-powered devices. Microcontrollers find applications where a general-purpose computer would be too large, costly or otherwise impractical. Examples include appliances, cars, small robots, thermometers, surveillance cameras and toys among many others. In electronics an embedded processor (EP) is an entire computer system that has been built into a single chip along with its support circuitry. Due to advances in semiconductor technology many EPs are now quite inexpensive when compared to their overall capabilities; it may now be economically feasible to build large numbers of devices using custom logic—a practice which would have been prohibitively expensive only a few years ago.
